Terms of Use
Last updated 31 May 2026
Draft for review. These terms have been prepared as a starting point and must be reviewed and amended by YourAfiyah before they are relied upon legally.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of YourAfiyah. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Who we are
YourAfiyah provides a halal, evidence-based supplement intelligence service for Muslim women in the UK. You can reach us at support@yourafiyah.com.
What YourAfiyah is — and is not
YourAfiyah provides general wellness and educational information about supplements, including evidence grades, halal considerations, and prayer-aligned timing. It helps you make more informed choices.
YourAfiyah is not a medical service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The information we provide is not a substitute for the advice of a qualified doctor, pharmacist, or other healthcare professional. Always seek the advice of your GP or pharmacist before starting, stopping, or changing any supplement or medication.
Your account
- You must be 18 or over to use YourAfiyah.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including not to: attempt to gain unauthorised access; disrupt or interfere with the service; copy, scrape, or resell our content without permission; or use the service for any unlawful purpose.
Medical disclaimer and important cautions
Supplements can interact with medicines and may not be suitable for everyone. In particular, you should speak to a healthcare professional before using any supplement if you:
- are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding;
- take any prescription or over-the-counter medication;
- have an existing medical condition; or
- experience new, persistent, or worsening symptoms — these should always be assessed by a doctor rather than self-treated with supplements.
If you think you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 999 or your local emergency number.
Halal information disclaimer
YourAfiyah is not a halal certifying body. Our halal classifications are informational and are based on ingredient analysis and publicly available certification information. They are intended to support your own research and decisions. Halal status can vary by brand, batch, and source, and scholarly opinions differ. Always check the product's own labelling and certification, and consult a scholar where you need a definitive ruling.
Pricing
YourAfiyah is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before any charge applies, and you will never be charged without your clear agreement.
Termination
You may stop using YourAfiyah and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or where we are required to do so by law.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on the information provided, or from decisions you make about supplements or your health. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and, where changes are significant, let you know.
